100% futures  /  Earls court   20-23 september 2007                                                             

     Studio wanjukim exhibited Cactus lighting at 100% futures as a part of London Design Week this year.
The chandelier ‘Cactus' consists of numbers of EEFL(External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp), which has been used mainly for an industrial lighting source like a back light of LCD monitor or lighting panel for interior display.
It has great advantages compared to existing fluorescent lamp in terms of long life time, low consumption,
high efficiency, and diversity in thickness and length.  With hand-bent circular EEFL I aimed to transform this industrial lighting source into a very delicate chandelier discovering its own hidden beauty.
